About the Author — Kim Williams Dahlman

Kim Williams Dahlman makes it her mission to ensure that petite women are never short on style. Dahlman is a nationally renowned Petite Fashion Specialist and author of The Petite Handbook. Dahlman's 20-plus years of experience in the Petite fashion industry along with her petite stature gives her unique insight into the special fashion requirements of women 5'4” and under.

In 2004, Kim Williams Dahlman put all of her expertise on paper. Her book of fashion advice, The Petite Handbook, now in its third printing, offers smart shopping strategies for petite women. O, The Oprah Magazine, lauds the fun pocket-size tutorial as “a fashion bible for smaller women.”

Kim Williams Dahlman is highly regarded as a Petite Fashion Coach. She frequently teaches petite women how to dress with confidence and style at fashion events across the country. Retail clients include Macy's, Dillard's, Belk, and Bon-Ton Stores. Dahlman has written scripts and conducted televised training broadcasts for Dillard's Satellite Network, Saks TV, and Signature Collection Network. Talbots Petites and Petite Sophisticate use her book, The Petite Handbook, as a training tool for their sales teams.

Kim Williams Dahlman is often sought out by the print and broadcast media as a Petite expert. She has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, St. Petersburg Times, Orlando Sentinel, The Tennessean, and The St. Louis Post-Dispatch among others. Television credits include Fox TV, Home Shopping Network, PBS, and the network news series “Smart Woman.”

Dahlman currently owns and operates Fashion Marketing Services Inc., an event-based consulting firm. She recently launched an online newsletter exclusively for petite women and currently blogs about petite fashion at www.forpetitesake.com. Prior to opening Fashion Marketing Services Inc., Dahlman held positions as Petite Sportswear Buyer for Allied Department Stores, Corporate Petite Buyer for Belk Stores Services, and Director of Sales for Susan Bristol Petites.
